• 1966 Graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio—Football scholarship, B.S. degree, member of O.U. Bobcats Association; led Bobcats to win the Mid American Conference football title in 1965
• 1967 Graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, M.A. in Physical Education and Administration
• 1967 Employed at Mead Elementary School as Physical Education teacher
• 1970 Strong Middle School – Health and Physical Education teacher
