Yes, I got on the site and enjoyed it. Congratulations on such a great job. I couldn't figure out how to contribute to the history page. I could supply details on the 1947 strike. For some reason the Principal, Meaken, kept running up to my little group and ordering us to return to our classes. I did not start the strike, only enthusiastically participated. We got a free lunch from a reporter for the Detroit Free Press and in turn we supplied the material for his article. The walkout was triggered by the suspension of a teacher, whose name escapse me. He was a good teacher who happened to be active in the teacher's union. The charges against him were nonsense. I am prepared to supply pages of boring detail if anyone is interested. Thanks for returning my Email.

I live in Kokomo, Indiana. This is the second time that we have lived here. Chrysler liked to move people around. We moved here in 1961 and then to the Trenton Engine Plant and Grosse Ile in 1965. We next moved in 1969 to Geneva, Switzerland, in 1970 to the Paris area in France and then to the Midlands of England in 1971, Our last move, back here to Kokomo, took place in 1978 when Chrysler Europe was sold to Puegot. It seemed to be a good idea to head back to the U.S.
Last night memories of the 1947 walkout came flooding back. If anyone is interested I'll write up whatever I can remember. Only son and two grandaughters live in Grand Island, NY.
